I thought he got the benefit of the doubt on one pitch in that inning that looked probably low to me.

But “just stop” what? You don’t think over the games this year that Holman has had elite control? And you are basing that he doesn’t on one close strike call that went his way? You know, he had a couple close strikes called balls.

The point still stands. Holman’s velocity is maybe high average. What separates him is command of the zone.

Whats his ERA? How you think it got there? LSU has a half dozen or more pitchers alone that throw harder than Holman. Its his control makes him elite.

It was not at the ankles and was a borderline strike. What made it bad is that the ump was calling those balls previous to that.
