yes it does.
and there are generations of MLB players that all say the same thing.
you can throw 99. but if all you do is throw 99 over and over again, big leaguers will get your timing and light you up.
but if you can change speeds an lf eye levels, you don’t have to throw hard to be effective.
someone earlier mentioned Maddux.
might have hit 91 on his best day. maybe.
but nobody could hit him.
Johann Santana at his prime. best pitch was a change up.
Same with Trevor Hoffman.
Tom Glavine is another one.
if your Deuce is good enough, you don’t need a Nolan Ryan fastball.
