Price range for someone to install flooring

Long story short, my dog got shut in the bedroom one day while we were at work and he destroyed the carpet. We did a manual patch job, but it looks like shite and the hardwood floor it connects to moves now that the carpet is damaged.
Got lucky and found my exact flooring for a decent price. Bought it and underlayment.
The room is roughly 240 square feet.
What should my pice range be to have someone come in and install it?
Had a guy come out this past weekend and he quoted me $1,150 to do install only. No trash haul, no demo.
Is that a decent quote?

seems high. Only 2 doorways with transitions? Installation of shoe moulding included? Painted after? Any built-ins that may require more detailed undercutting/trim work? could it include any floor leveling too? Carpet over concrete is sign of a sloppy poured slab with low areas to be filled and highs grounded. Carpet hides all that.

Just rip out the carpet and install a good quality floating floor yourself. Much easier, you can 100% DIY it, and be done in a few hours.

You could do that in a day. The price seems high per square foot but for a small job like that you have to make it worth his while to come out there.

He is charging a days work. small jobs will seem to cost more but that is what it is for small jobs.

So is it a glue down hardwood or just a vinyl or laminate that is made to look like hardwood.
Pretty bid difference in price of installation.
