Being a father who lost a child to suicide I can’t even put in to words the devastation it left behind for our family. It has changed me fundamentally as a person. It’s been over two years and I struggle with it daily. It’s worse than any heartbreak I can describe. Never saw it coming either. There is a huge part of me that is just gone. It has impacted my marriage, relationships, my work just to name a few. I’m a 50 YO man and to this day I can’t watch a show with anything bad happening to a child or certain songs with out having to walk away so I don’t break down in front of my two step daughters and my wife. I will say this, you realize really quickly that most of the bullshite that people get worked or pissed off about just doesn’t matter. Things don’t matter. If you have kids don’t ever take for granted that everything is ok with them. Cherish every moment with them even when you annoy them. No parent should ever have to bury a child.
As far as the situation you described I can’t answer that. It’s not the right way to go is all I can say.
