I'm a setter guy myself.

The show/bench setters are the prettiest...

But field setters that actually hunt are where it's at.

And they make great family dogs...

Heck yeah. My grandpa always had English Setters and English Pointers. Those dogs were the best quail dogs I've ever seen.

My Brittany is the smartest and best looking dog I have had. Fits my eyes the way she looks. Such damn good dog.

I’m a bit biased, but I’m partial to Frenchies.

My dad had them both which led to my love of them also. The pointers are more driven and don't seem to care as much about you. The setters want to put their head in your lap, love a good petting and want to please you. So, I drifted away from the pointers and went exclusively to setters.

Need some corded dog love. Here's a Komondor. I love these mops.

I also love border collies with that derpy face and the one floppy ear.

I like the giant or standard-sized Schnauzers. (The standard-sized are pretty big with way less health issues.) Chows are beautiful but I've never personally been around one that wasn't a vicious all-around a-hole of a dog.

Lots of cool-looking dogs in this thread but I think those fluffy dogs would have to be kept shaved down for most of the year in the deep south.

I have border collies that are extremely handsome. I’d post photos and end this conversation but I enjoy the thread and seeing your pooches. Some good looking animals up in here.

This. My dad inherited his English setter when my maternal grandpaw died in the 1970's....

Watching border collies herd sheep is highly entertaining. I could watch them for hours.
