That has absolutely zero to do with layoffs. They're closing a non-productive studio and like every single other big tech company, they're laying off after over hiring in the post-COVID hiring boom that the industry had.

Some of the takes in this thread are quite interesting. I've been gone too long and shocked to hear anything positive about MS's "vision" for the gaming space.

I really don't understand why people don't believe there was a COVID bubble with tech company hires.

How many people did they hire during Covid? Was Sony one the tech companies that did?
