I think Texas's new arena is certainly what LSU's new/renovated arena should be oriented towards design-wise. It's a beautiful arena. However, one thing to keep in mind is that Texas had a real estate developer that specializes in sports pitch in to help fund the construction. Austin essentially doesn't have any other arenas besides the Moody Center (and previously the Erwin Center). BR has two viable ones that can host big events, but doesn't have the draw that Austin has to consistently put on event after event. Not a attractive situation for private/public partnerships.

I don't think the cost could justify an arena like Texas's, but if we do get a new one like Ole Miss's or Auburn's that would be great. Even a big renovation like UH's and Georgia Tech's old arenas would be satisfactory.
