Seems like everyone just expects Jay’s teams to figure it out at the plate

White will get his as long as he gets protection.

Maybe Bingham and Pearson hit .300. Who else?

Brady and Trav are probably plus hitters for catchers.

Seems more likely to be a middle of the road SEC offense this year.

Hitting won’t be where it was last year, but would like to see us work the bases more this year if possible and steal some runs

So they’re not allowed to get better?

Jay is still figuring out the lineup.. Jesus

This is probably true. We’re replacing a tom of experience with guys that haven’t necessarily proven to be consistent.

Why are you acting like the OP said they can’t get better? He didn’t say that.

It's early in the season and LSU has the luxury of winning most games while experimenting with inexperienced players and different batting orders. Last year's team went cold for several weeks late in the season and turned it back around. LSU has a lot of talent and quality coaches, no need to worry this early.

They are tied for first in hits in a single game in LSU baseball history. They did it in just 7 innings.

They are only 7 games into the season.

If that's not everything you need then perhaps just don't watch baseball this season.

I think they have to find the right line up and that takes time. Jared Jones, Travinski and Tommy will hit a lot of home runs this year.

Kling was on fire leading up to Aggie weekend last year...we need his bat in SEC play. Seems that we thrive with the wind blowing out so far. Guys like Kling, Neal, and Jones need to step up.

Milam is an on base machine. Brown off to good start. White, Travinski, Bingham, Pearson are proven and will be fine. Neal and Kling are ready for good years. Will see how Jones holds up as the pitching improves. Plenty of talent waiting in the wings in Larson, Frey. Offense will be just fine

Don't have to. Just keep watching as the season, and players, progress.

Yep. Cement hasn't even been poured yet. A baseball season is long season.

Little by little you have to get roles sorted out, make the field, host, national seed and be ready to play your best ball when it matters most.

Jay seemed fired up at today's post game. He mentioned how many times he has had the top offense in the country and rattled off several years in a row.

Said today's efforts wasn't good enough. He said he couldn't believe the game finished under 3 hours.

He blamed that on the hitters swinging to early in the count and said he talked to them 20 minutes about it. But he also mentioned how much youth is on the team. He will get it right. Jay's a great coach. The offense will get to where he wants it.

You absolutely cannot say anything negative about an lsu team here. If you do, people here just attack blindly and say, “HOW DARE YOU?!?”

They're 7 games into the season. Multiple guys are off to slow starts, but I have no doubt they'll get going. It's way too early for this, yet I shouldn't be surprised considering how many gave up on last years team before the SEC tournament even rolled around.
