Good, the only black people I listen to are the Temptations and Hootie, but I think he’s White adjacent.

Wonder how her concert tickets cost.

The full quote isn't nearly as bad as the click bait thread title. Some of yall just aren't happy if you don't have something to be miserable about.
So if Morgan Wallen came out and said he wasn’t making music for black people im sure you’d be fine with that?

Say “I want to cater to a small niche audience” while not saying “I want to cater to a small niche audience.”

Simple, don't sell tickets to white peepol. Don't let cracker in the door and sing your concert to a mostly empty building. Your EBT card will be waiting for you.

Wait, Lizzo telling me that her music is not for me is supposed to make me miserable? Quite the opposite.

What the hell is wrong with that?

Wasn't this disgusting human sued for being a royal bitch to her employees? Why is she back? Is it because of her white privilege?

Dude, already a thread still on the first page.

isn't she married to a white dude?

She should make sure she constantly emphasizes this. Make sure all of her audience is aware of who she wants to consume and appreciate her music.
I dropped rap because I realized they'll gladly take your money but would berate you for daring to sing the full lyrics. It's tribal garbage music anyway.
EDM/Dubstep is the same shite without thugs yelling about thug shite.

Why isn't she getting called out for committing cultural appropriation on Italians?
Posted on 2/21/24 at 1:28 pm to deathvalleyfreak43
Seems more like she's calling out black people for dismissing her just because white people attend her concerts. What's the problem calling that out?
“So am I making music for that girl right there who looks like me, who grew up in a city where she was underappreciated and picked on and made to feel unbeautiful?’” she asked before answering, “Yes.”
I think her point is that she can write with a black target audience in mind but that feel good music with a message to picked-on people appreciate themselves can resonate beyond black people. How and why people are bullied olvaries wildly. Two people don't have to share the same bad experience to both enjoy a song.

Sure, if he said he was a white man making music based on his experience as a white man. That's hard to argue with since that's who he is. Same reason I don't have a problem with a black woman saying her music is based on her experience as a black woman. And to be clear, I don't listen to Wallen or Lizzo.

They say my music isn’t for white people. If you are white and don’t listen because you don’t like their music, you are racist. This world is so upside down.

She didn’t though. She said her audience is white and then said she doesn’t make music for white people.
An easy exercise is to switch the colors with the same statement and see if society would be okay with it.
Imagine a white singer saying their audience was black and they weren’t making music for them. They were making music for white people. Their career would be over immediately.

I thought she got cancelled for some shady conduct. Just to be clear, not because her fat arse was casting shade.

Eminem coming out and saying that he doesn't "make music for black people" would guarantee some "Everything is 100% off" sales across the country.
