Tigers will be in the top half of the SEC with a win against Kentucky tomorrow night

This is the biggest game of the Matt McMahon era. With a win against the Kentucky Wildcats the Tigers will move into a 7th place tie in the SEC with the winner of Ole Miss and Mississippi State and Texas A&M with the three teams sporting a 6-7 record. It would be a big step forward for the nascent McMahon program to derail the Big Blue and step up into the lofty environs of the upper half of the league with two weeks left in the regular season.. The Tigers need to take advantage of a three game home stand and place themselves in line for post season play with a strong finish. A loss tomorrow night is expected but if the Tigers play smart, finish at the rim and play disruptive defense the program can pull off the win and serve notice they will once again be a force to reckon with.

Kinda sad when just to finish in the top half of the SEC is considered a major accomplishment.

It’s probably a long shot but they have a chance to run the table after Kentucky

Yo douch, this is year 2 in a rebuild and he does not have hi caliber players, even though there was some close losses, so it could be better.
Why don't you support another team if you have to throw garbage at this coach and team playing hard in most of their games.

That would put us at 9-9 with a loss to Kentucky which would be a heck of an improvement from last year

This team could make a tourney run

Man, I wish we could have played em two or three weeks back. They are unfortunately playing their best ball.
I think as with all of our games this year, and last year for that matter - rebounding is the key. We have to rebound at a respectable clip to have a shot.

No Jalen Cook will hurt... or will it?

Come the frick on bro. You don’t need multiple years to turnover a basketball roster like football. 1 year is all it takes to turnover a basketball team. This IS what our program is going to be.

Not when everyone jumped ship and no one wanted to come here out of fear of sanctions. At least know what you are talking about before you speak bro.

So Auburn and Kansas can get players with fear of sanctions but LSU can’t? Know what you’re talking about before posting idiot.

Just a lot of excuses by you McMahon fans. You know with the portal you can turnover an entire roster in 1 year?

A personable, enthusiastic, accomplished, energetic, and good coach doesn't require multiple years to build a basketball program today. McMahon and his nut huggers will continue to blame "potential" sanctions and time as major problems. In fact, each year is a major rebuild for every program. If McMahon can't deal with this, he will never have great success at LSU.

So now the goal is to be the most polished turd?

Will Wade went 9-9 in the SEC his last season at LSU.

For this program and where it was just a season ago, it is.
But some people don’t want CMM to be successful & it’s pretty obvious

There are people actively rooting for the basketball team to lose every game so they can be right, which is insane to me
Posted on 2/21/24 at 8:07 am to LSBoosie
Nobody is actively rooting against him, it’s called accountability. Build a team that can compete in the top of the SEC or GTFO! It’s that simple, and we shouldn’t cheer on mediocrity.

For the morons there is a difference between CAN and SHOULD be rebuilt in 1 year. You were the same idiots using Mizzou as an example last year. They suck this year. And comparing Kansas with LSU or Pearl with McMahon shows just how stupid and bitter you really are. Your lives must be so miserable. Probably because you’ve never built or run anything on your entire lives.
