Getting a “deal” on this isn’t the way I would go. Sherman and Balhoff has done a great job for my son. The before/after pictures are pretty telling of the job they have done. I highly recommend them.

My thirteen year old has them now. We paid $3500ish, which includes monthly visits for adjustments. Porter Ortho on Bluebonnet.

Make the drive in to BR and see former Tiger John Whitley....we got an outrageous proposal form an orthodontist who tried to get my wife to make a deposit and an appointment that day but a friend luckily suggested we get a 2nd opinion from Whitley...he has tons of experience/certifications and such..needless to say he was very good and saved us thousands

4500-5500 for 2 years in braces is pretty normal. Insurance chipped in 1000 which was better than nothing.

Rick Martin is excellent, won't break the bank as much as many. I say no to Sherman and Balhoff, I've heard stories, no offense to their many friends in this thread.

saw Vance Misuraca selling a boat on FB marketplace for 600K and thought I would never go to him if I needed to get braces for my kids lol.

He may or may not also be on the leaked Ashley Madison list.

Probably more like $5-7k before insurance takes their “generous” $1k lifetime max off the top.

Net of insurance $4-6k is a realistic target. I’m on my 4th and about to be 5th child with braces.

I should have looked at their mom’s (my ex’s) pre braces pictures.

We liked Dr Whitley a lot but went with Sherman and Balhoff because we preferred their treatment plan.

They’re both great (I don’t know enough about the sons) but I prefer Balhoff, FWIW.
