Catching up on this. I heard LCA lost this game due to a pitch count. LCA was 1 over. Tuerlings appealed it.
I don’t have a dog in the fight but that is some BS. The whole best of 3 format is BS. But damn. Tuerlings must really have low confidence.

Remember back in the day when the playoffs were scattered around the state for the semifinals and finals?
I went to E.D. White at Kaplan for the Class 3A semifinals around the turn of the century. I think E.D. White's catcher signed with LSU. He had a cannon. The pitcher was great, too.
Kaplan hit a big home run to get the crowd into it, but E.D. White won Looking back at the results from around that time, they were a juggernaut.
ETA: I covered Rummel with pitcher Thomas Diamond against somebody (can't ramember) when the Class 5A state tourney was in New Iberia.

What would be BS would be losing your whole season on such a violation… instead they just lost game 1 but they got to keep playing
