I don’t follow Louisiana HS sports but I assume the split also watered down the playoffs for Baseball like it did Football in each classification?

Yes, but it is not as bad as it used to be since the LHSAA forced schools with parish wide enrollments and magnet schools into the Select division.

Rummel has put up 1 run in Arencebia’s last 13 innings, huh? He’s allowed 2 runs total
Why W/L stat for pitchers suck

Should lsu have given this Rummel guy a shot? Saw he is a Tulane commit

It did, nonselect is clearly the better division in baseball… I wish we could choose to play in the select division lol

First time seeing him. Think he’d get washed out at LSU. Could be a rotation guy at Tulane

Arencibia throws first pitch of 8th for #100. Probably won’t be able to finish it even if Rummel goes ahead in T9. Also only has 3 Ks on the day which surprises me

Not sure how Rummels current coach is but the last coach would roll him out for 150-160 pitches…

Yes

Select is Catholic and that’s it. Rummel and Curtis are the only competition

Nonselect is Barbe, WM, Sam Houston, and like 8-10 teams that can be that good in any given year

Pitchers are limited to 115 pitches now up to their last batter...

Arencibia is at 115 pitches and coming out now after the last out.. If he was still at 114, he could face another hitter.

Curtis, Rummel, Jesuit matches up just fine with WM, Sam Houston and other public schools

Rummel or Curtis wouldn’t be playing right now if it was the old 5A

Acadiana with a losing record would have been nowhere near Sulphur…

Check that. Drop them in nonselect and they don’t make the state playoffs
