If I recall, Rummel and their fans had Schmidt flustered, chirping back and forth, etc. I would love to see Rummel and Catholic as the finals.

Will Catholic save Schmidt after getting upset in the semis last year.?

Coaches get paid for this exact type of situation. Everybody disagrees and nobody is right.

I hated when CPM went with Reynolds instead of short rested Poche

I feel like CHBR is just a much better team top to bottom and will score enough runs to beat Acadiana regardless

I'm expecting Rummel to save Arencibia and that kid could hold anybody down.

I'll go on record saying save Schmidt for final

Arencibia no hit Curtis earlier this season. Claverie, Rummel's #2, threw a 1 hitter against them the next day. But, that was almost 2 months ago now. I feel like Rummel is damned if they do and damned if they don't as far as pitching Arencibia against Curtis or not.

But, I agree, I'd save Schmidt.

thats funny.

its funny too cause the story the barbe players and admin tell is pretty much the exact opposite of what our resident Mandeville guy was saying. got so bad they were having to search peoples bags for alcohol and ban people from going in and out because they were going to there vehicles and drinking.

one of the fans from mandeville tried to fight a cop, fans were talking big time shite to the barbe players etc

i did here though that the barbe crowd got really rowdy in 3rd game after all the BS in the 2nd.

glad they are gone.

The gold pinstripes y’all wore in the quarterfinals are the best uniforms I’ve seen in a long time

Sounds about right

Catholic people don’t do well with white people with tight fades

Oh, and sounds trashy

Their pitcher is crafty. Faced off against Dunham's ace and won without getting 1 K in 7 innings

Dunham P had 10 Ks and 1 BB with only 2 hits given up

I remember the 1st time rummel played barbe in the late 90’s at the state tournament in new Iberia. It was a lot of the same. They kinda break you in the 1st time. The next time won’t be as bad. It doesn’t help that you can’t beat them, either.

I hate when I get to a game I want to watch and the dugout is acting like a girls softball team, but I'm an old man now and easily irritated

First time I remember that type of atmosphere in high school baseball was actually at CHBR in a regional round in '88. I was at LSU at the time and my brother was playing for NISH

The New Iberia students were relentless in a 7-1 win that Joe Jumonville K'd 15. Funny how that didn't bother me back then
