Easy solution: fly to the UKI and drive around to pubs. Find the people you like hanging out with the best, become a fan of their club. Not that Millwall is in the EPL, but how are you not a fan after that dude in the London terror attack? I'd drink beer with that SoB for weeks on end.

I ended up a Liverpool fan because I walked into a Liverpool pub in a red polo (outskirts of Athlone, almost 20 years ago) as the Reds had just won the FA cup, and had no idea what I did. Someone handed me their baby within 90 seconds. The Irish talk a lot, like people from LA, so it was a natural fit. Never watched soccer before that trip. A ton of Irish worked in Liverpool shipyards in the 20th century, and other than {poli board} they and Merseyside fans are a wonderful atmosphere. The noise at Anfield puts Tiger Stadium to shame. I was stunned. Also, Liverpool doesn't lose a lot. Like the Tigers, they tend to go down early recently, and then pull a heart attack Tiger move to come back and win or draw.

To all the Leeds folks: Being there is the only time I've seen a guy beating off in a sleeping bag outside a train station at 0630 in freezing weather. Congrats.
