I had a CAD while running up in Chicago 4 years ago, which subsequently caused at least 3 strokes. We never figured out what caused it but any chiropractic care, neck manipulation, BJJ, whiplash, etc. was the first thing asked by any Specialist/ER I saw. And I saw a lot. That said, I have made a full recovery and was back to running and normal life within a few months. Still scary shite; but it's like it never happened now. A bit of unease knowing it can happen again at anytime, but not gonna live my life in fear over it. I still train heavily (running, cycling, strength) and do everything I was doing before. The only thing I have actively stopped is neck massages when getting deep tissue treatment.
