If he just would have ran to first base

He had a 5 year stretch where he was easily a top 3 slugger in the majors. The man was a massive, gaping a-hole though.

They have every single one of Albert Belle's stats wrong. He has about 150 more home runs and 700 RBIs more than what that pic says.
In addition, I don't trust that WAR formula. Belle outperforms Bregman in every single stats besides OBP which Bregman has him beat by .004. Belle should have a higher WAR than Bregman based on those incorrect stats that short changed him alone.
If that posts cuts off Albert's stats at 29, then ask yourself. Do you think Bregman is going to have 150 home runs and 700 RBI's in the next 4 years? Because that's what Belle did if that cuts him off at 29. Bregman isn't even hitting 20 home runs and a .250 average, maybe 50 RBIs like he has the past 4 years.

Belle has 381 HR and 1,250 RBIs. I have no idea where you got that, but they are shorting him about 150 home runs and 600 RBIs. That is a grossly inaccurate post.
Go correct Belle's stats then compare to Bregman.

It’s not controversial. He just doesn’t like anyone .

Still waiting your response Lester Earl, do you or do you not think Alex Bregman, who has been averaging a .242 avg with 14 home runs and 50 RBIs last 4 years will some how be able to pull out 150 home runs and 600 RBIs and a .320 something average next 4 years like Albert Belle did from ages 29-33.
Also, that WAR formula couldn't possibly be correct even with Belle's incorrect stats in your post. He leads in every category. Basically a no brainer.

Those are their stats thru the same point of their careers. Bregman has been way more valuable & should surpass Belle overall in a season or two

Defense matters. Bergman eclipses Albert in WAR because of his work at 3rd.

Also in 95 he became the 1st 50 homer and 50 doubles in the same season.

Anyone who thinks he’s not is wrong.

True. Too bad he was kind of a nut.

If Belle played nice in the sandbox, he’d be in the Hall! Phenomenal bat speed and power. Guy could hit the ball a mile
I remember the 86 CWS, LSU's 1st under Coach Bertman. Belle hit a HR in the old Rosenblatt that looked like it landed on the Interstate that ran behind the stadium.

To those saying, it was easier then, no it wasn't. MLB homers have increased. Last year, MLB averaged 1.21 homer per team per game. In the mid 90s, it was 1.00 homers per team per game. It's able to be searched.
Homers may be up, but mid 90s were still the better offensive environment.
In 1995, the league average hitter was .267/.338/.417.
In 2023, the league average hitter was .248/.320/.414.

He was railroaded by the writers whose feelings he hurt costing him MVP status. Without the hip injury, Belle is a first ballot hall of famer. The most dominant and feared right handed hitter in baseball in his 5 year prime stretch.
