Southwest out of Chicago Midway when Southwest and United had a 3 week pissing contest. Check also the travel sites now and then as you can get a decent package deal. If there is a convention in town, then prices will be high no matter when. Wish I could help more but this is what’s offered as of now

Wife wants to drive to Memphis to save a couple hundred dollars. I'm on the fence, but I really don't want to pay $1000 round trip each.

I got mine as soon as flights were available with United out of BR . So they were pretty cheap . If you feel like flying out of Nola . Spirit and frontier are still dirt cheap . Depends a lot on what day you want to leave and come back . We are doing Thursday -Tuesday
