Sorry, I shouldn’t have said most of the time ...but still “AR-10’s” are not mil spec , some companies use DPMS LR-308 low profile pattern, some DPMS LR-308 high profile pattern, some use the AR-10 Armalite pattern, and PSA has their own pattern. In recent years a lot of companies went with the DPMS high profile pattern, so finding compatible parts is easier but it’s still not like building an AR-15.
