I love your optimism.

Expect we lose at least 4.

It’s not easy to win on the road, but Vandy and Arkansas are really bad. I think they can take 2 of 3 from those 2 plus Florida, but I don’t see better than 2-3 on the road. 7-3 would require beating both Kentucky and Bama and not having another slip up at home like A&M. I think 4-1 at home is possible but 3-2 is more likely. I’d say 5-5, but 4-6 and 6-4 are possible.

I’m not really a pessimist. But 3-7 seems more likely than 7-3. But to your point. That probably wouldn’t be enough to be safe. We would likely need more wins in the tournament, and maybe some help elsewhere. We blew too many chances already to be a tournament lock before the conference tournament.

People don’t want to accept it, but:

LSU isn’t as bad as our fanbase wants us to be. At the end of the season they will be 8-10, 9-9, or 10-8. 11-7 is virtually impossible. However, if you asked anyone if we went 9-9 in SEC play, would that be a good year? Umm YES

LSU plays all season with Cook, we have 3 less losses, and would be an NIT team. That’s not the case though, so we aren’t a postseason squad, but it was a great building year and we are trending upwards.

ETA: reading through comments, it’s really wild how some of you hate this program and coach for…no reason? They play hard, they’ve gotten better. This is actually a fun team to root for because each night it’s someone different stepping up

Id say 7-11 is the chalk at this point, theyll be favored in 3 more games.
They are about what i said pre sec play. But you arent wrong, alot of posters on this board acted like they were worse and want them to be

Yea it’s pretty nuts how the team just gets shite on.

Two of the losses are on the road against top 4 league teams where they competed but the better team pulled away. The other losses were at UGA where they needed to just rebound one more time and they win. It’s tough to win on the road so that one stung when you had a chance. The loss to aTm sucked but at the same time everyone that shits on the team probably expected them to lose at their place so a split isn’t that bad. It’s a really fun team to watch and they deserve support and for the stupid coach culture war to stop.

Picked 13th out of 14 teams is worse than 7-11. We aren’t exceeding expectations like USCe, but watching sec network you can tell some of the analysts are surprised by us

Mac is clearly making this team better...and he's just getting started. He'll be fine. We can go 8-10 in SEC play.

8-10 in SEC is possible. No postseason invite.

My judgment of CMM comes in March, 2025. IMO, we'll need to be top 4 in SEC in 24-25 or CMM will probably never be top 4 in SEC.
