An underrated moment is the Marcus Spears pick six in the 2003 national championship. It was the most important play in the most important game in more than 40 years. Certainly not as dramatic as the Morris walk off but a tremendous moment for those of us that believed we would never see another football natty.

Upvote. That game elevated LSU football from a really good program that had up and down periods into the sphere of elite programs that are in the national championship conversation. And I was going to post the Spears interception as the biggest play if you didn't already do it.

Justin Vincent's big run to open the game was the appetizer, Spears' pick 6 the main course that put the game out of reach for OU, and Lionel Turner's sack at the end was the dessert/icing on the cake.
