Golf Needs A Tiger Woods Masters Win this year

To forget about LiV and PGA stuff and refocus on what really matters. Tiger and Jack. Unfortunately it’s unthinkable Woods could hold up for 4 days. I wish he could at least somehow get to 17 majors before he is to old where you never know if the next one could be 18. I still can’t believe the life pursuit is likely to come up short. Jack was a helluva a player and prestine on and off the course.

Tiger’s lifestyle finally caught up with him….
He’s too beat up now to keep up with the younger guys…

Glad we got to see it again in 2019, but it’s over.

Stupid thread about Tiger doing the impossible is stupid.

I’ll never forget that 2019 masters. That was really something.
And I remember his 2008 US open win too. It blows my mind that was his last major win before 2019. I was riding the bus back from Kings Dominion on that Monday for that playoff. It was our 8th grade end of year trip. We caught the last several holes as it had satellite tv on it.
There was a school bus full of 13 year olds who didn’t give a shite about golf except for me, one other kid, and the bus driver the 3 of us were going insane.

Somebody like Jordan or Rickie winning (“fan favorites”) is more realistic and also great for the game.
But the Masters is almost always a “great story” it just means so damn much.
Tiger winning any tournament now would be seismic.

If they’d let him use a Segway it would help.

Few things I'd love in sports more than seeing Tiger put on another green jacket, but I don't think his body has 4 days at that level any longer.
In the meantime, we wait for Charlie.

I will just be happy for four days of no rain and nice temps after the last two years.

Tiger's winning days are long over. He may do something on the Senior's Tour one day, but I seriously doubt it even then since he's beat to hell now and it will only get worse as he gets older.
Those injuries in your youth that you conveniently blew off come home to roost as you get older.

I was at East Lake the weekend when he won the Tour Championship some months before he won the 2019 Masters.
To this day it’s the greatest sporting event I’ve ever attended, and I’ve been to some fun games.
There’s not much to compare to a Sunday when Tiger is in contention. It’s a lot of fun.

Spieth is as boring as it gets and Rickie was interesting about 8 years ago and no longer occupies that space.
Golf just isn't interesting without interesting personalities and most of the players are former country club kids one way or another, or they were "travel ball" golfers where their family spent a ton of money on training and youth golf.

Even if Charlie is "good", he won't win as much as Tiger or be as interesting as Tiger without always talking about the fact that he's Tiger's son. No one cares about Charlie Woods if he's named "Charlie Smith", son of an oil field project manager.

Listen, Tiger is the #2 golfer of all time, period.
Also, the PGA has no one to blame but themselves for LIV.

I'm sure they'll inject him with enough Test, GH, etc to get him competitive again.

I've heard Charlie in a press conference a few months back. People here are *not* going to like him.

The night before the final round of the Masters was like the feeling of a Christmas Eve night as a child.
Pure anticipation - good thing it was an early tee off.
Even though I'm old enough - I just didn't watch golf in the early 2000s - Always felt bad I missed out and I'd have to watch Tiger "Magic" on YouTube.
Well hot damn I got a chance to see it live. Sure was a treat.
