I disagree. SC and bama are both playing better right now. Not to say Florida is playing bad. But watching them, I don’t see that they are above our level. The challenge is that it’s on the road for us.

Dean, Baker, Trae, and Wright are gone.
It looks to me like Baker played 0 games in 2020-2021 season. Would that make him still eligible since 2019-2020 does not count? He has only played for 3 non-Covid seasons.
ETA: I also think Wilkinson and Fountain are out of eligibility. Each has 4 years of playing time starting after the COVID season.

This sounds like a wish list.. I see zero confidence in your post… you are talking about what these other teams COULD do instead of what LSU reds to do to win these games.
They took care of business today, now on to the next challenge. No doubt the Tigers will need to do their part to win any remaining game. That is not always enough, though and its always helpful the opponent plays a little below the standard when they were successful. Years of watching the league has shown the simple nature of the game results in teams being unable to sustain play over an extended period. Sometimes they survive but not always and the lesser talented team prevails It happens to every program and there is no reason LSU cannot grab a game or two when logic claims they are underdogs. The talent levels between ten teams including LSU is not so great that the outcome of any game is not a surprise. Almost all teams have been blown out in at least one game and all have won one they were not expected to win.
Given these factors LSU is likely to win 2 of the listed games and could win a third depending on a given night. Yes, they could only win one but they are becoming more competitive and seem to have found an identity that could lead to a nice finish somewhere in the middle of the league. I am calling it 6th place tie with either Ole Miss or Texas A&M. They will finish 9-9 with upset wins over Alabama or Kentucky, Georgia, Miss State, Vandy and Missouri . If Arkansas quits on Musselman that could be another win.

Someone else on here told me that 2020-2021 was the Covid year and that Wilkinson, Fountain, Cook all have more eligibility. I'm not really sure.. either way even if they do have another year it doesn't mean they will opt to play or even stay here.
I do know Cook is listed as a junior even though his freshman year was the same as Fountain and Wilkinson

The 2019-2020 season is when the tournament was cancelled so I think that is the season that is the covid season for spring. sports and the 2020-2021 for fall sports. But I could be wrong about that. I will look into that further.
ETA: I found this. I think 2019-2020 is an automatic COVID year because the NCAA canceled the postseason. But I am not entirely sure how that works for 2020-2021. From what I see I would expect Cook to be in his final year and it looks like he isn't. I am not sure about the redshirt rules for basketball either.
