I assume so. Not cheap, but should be good.

I didn’t measure the first time, but the last two attempts both yielded 30g of espresso at different grind settings, the last taking 25 seconds. I’m using the automatic button on the machine. What should I adjust to get a 1:2 ratio that I think I should be getting?

1:2 is just a guideline to get started/dial in a new bean.

Tastes is always king. I tend to pull more volume in that 30 seconds. Something like 19g in, 55-57g out in 30 seconds.

Just started using French press because I got tired of replacing broken drip machines. Any major tips for French Press (Espro p3)?

Currently:
70g beans (been using French Market Dark/Community Breakfast Blend)
1000g of water
Boil water in kettle until she whistles, turn off and let sit for a minute.
Dump ground beans in press
Slowly pour water over grounds and let sit uncovered for 5 min.
Stir and skim off foam
Put lid/press on and let sit for 4 min
Slowly press down
Pour and enjoy

Been enjoying my cups, just not sure if there is a better method/ratio out there. I plan on trying different beans, but that's all the grocery store really had in whole bean, and I needed coffee.

Picked these two up over the last week..Flat bottom pour over is surprisingly new to me and the beans were way more expensive than i expected from Luma...

Hope to have some time this weekend to get percentages right and brew a few cups..

I just started roasting my own beans with a Fresh Roast SR540. I will never buy another roasted bean in my lifetime. The roaster will pay for itself after buying green beans. It makes the experience full after having this.

You should grow your own beans too. It’s the only way to go.

I got 4 bags ordered from black riffle. Anyone order from them? Figured I’d give them a shot.

Went to Aldi and saw these and at $5.60 for 12 ounces so I have to give it a shot.

I am about 50% roast my own and 50% lazy and buy beans

I've been mostly dark roast since I started coffee, but I found Trader Joe's Ethiopia Guji or something light roast and it is amazing. I am going to explore more light roasts now.

For those of you interested in high-quality beans, I would be curious how you like Airship. Interestingly, from same area as Onyx and considered of similarly high quality.

Here’s their site for ordering:

So do you like Airship? I just ordered some coffee from black rifle but I’ll order some from these guys next if they are good. The options sound interesting.

$13 for an 8oz bag?

They appear to do well based on their employee count.

They have several coffee shops in the area as well. Since they’re based out of Bentonville, they also have a wal-mart contract, but I imagine it’s only carried in certain regions (every time I see it in Walmart, I wonder who is purchasing it there at that price)

It’s expensive for a drip maker but it is the best I have ever owned. Have two actually. Techni Vorm Moccamaster.

I haven’t seen anyone post about Mammoth in this thread yet. Easily the best coffee roaster in Louisiana for my tastes. They have a very consistent approach to roasting that doesn’t torch the flavors and maintains a lot delicate complexity. Been enjoying this one currently.
