Funny,I have a couple of those Berggren-style flat caps, and my boss calls me"Dick" when I wear one.

Waving the flag, that Castrol paint job, top gun theme playing, Reddick and Buescher about to throw hands. Love this ending

Slight correction: it was the Days of Thunder theme.

But I agree with you. Loved the ending. Good to see Brad and Ford back in Victory Lane. It was actually a nice day for Ford all around.

He was just getting out of his car talking to his crew chief when Chris shoved him. Buescher has every right to be upset, dude is probably still ticked about last week. Buescher isn't in that spot without Brad putting Reddick in the wall earlier in the run. Just watching it and hearing Happy talk about it seems he and Buescher both played a part in it. Chris got loose and into the wall trying to prevent the side job because he knew if Reddick got around him he was faster and Reddick was fast enough to wait a couple laps and try that move when he could clear him. Honestly don't see a problem with how the 6, 45, or 17 ran it all three wanted the win. Emotions flew joy, frustration, and empathy. Good race all around.

When it comes to motor sports journalists no one will ever top Dave Despain for me. My world stopped when Wind Tunnel was on. The dude could jump from flat track AMA bikes to rally cars and then without hesitation he’d talk about some quirky rule in a small lawn mower racing series in Montana.

Cup race was a let down for me. For a cup race it was fine but still a snoozer. I was in Farmer City and Fairbury, Illinois on Friday and Saturday for the Lucas Oil Dirt Late Model shows so it’s probably not fair to a cup race to have that as a weekend ender. Incredible two nights spent at a pair of dirt bull rings.

I miss Wind Tunnel. Dave was always great and always spoke his mind.

Happy for Kes! Had him in my final 4 this year. He has talent and I figured only a matter of time he gets the team in order.

Chris and Reddick. Drivers usually take helmet off in car after race before getting out. He knew Cheis was coming. Thing is, had Reddick been patient he passes him within 2-3 laps tops and not sure Kes had any tires left to chase him down then. Chris was not winning either way but hated him getting taken out.

Chase ended up 12th after his bad day thats crazy he had a bad car.

Race was mostly boring but its the TV and booth. They have foo many commercials but wven when come back from them they go to split screen and show other crap. Like at lap 6 of the race they went to split screen to get drivers reactions for this race and the drivers were in big screen and racing on small window. I mean come the frick on, you had all pre race to do that shite and choose to rob us of racing.

And I love the Harvick commentary but that booth is boring. They just don’t mesh well at all. I miss ole DW in the booth he added some spice. And of course with Fox putting too much shite on screen even when racing its presented badly. And on one restart Fox decided to show all these different angles and you can’t see the field nor the front and how its going. The most exciting part of race is restarts and we miss the front angle to watch it.

And how about Blaney? He was mad at 24 but it was really Truex who should have backed out of the 3 wide. End of race no, but at that point its futile to not back out knowing 3 wide doesn’t work. He was half a car behind the 24 and 12.

Was a great ending but most of the race was hard to follow because Fox didn’t keep up with it.

Don’t get any more nostalgic and patriotic than that.

It really is nuts how much his driving style reminds me of Matt Kenseth. Can take a bad car like yesterday and get a good finish out of it and is able to save the car until the end and you look up at the end and he finishes top-5/top-10.

Nascar adding in season tournament, whatever the hell that involves. More gimmicks.

It's funny how they're so hell bent on "incentivizing" the regular season...

Whenever they set this whole system up because the season long system "sucks:"

Bring it back. Would be so much easier to follow.
