Evening,
I have a midsize tractor and would like to get a bit more done after work. It's 6pm and black in my woods. I notice on Amazon that you can buy $20 or $150 LED lights and light bars. Am I stupid for buying the $20 or $40 ones? Are they going to die in six weeks? Anybody have experience here?

Thanks baws.

edit to add - I'm not too concerned about brightness as much as how long the internals of the lights last and such.

I have a rough country light bar on my side by side. That thing is bright.
The travelers at tractor supply are pretty good too.

ive looked at enough reviews about these lights on amazon and came away that since you're going to be going though brush,etc........get the cheap ones.

no, they do not outperform, but CAN do almost as well at a fraction of the cost. you'll probably break the espensive ones too. the issue is not the toughness of the light, but the mounting brackets....i just found that out with my tractor toolbox.

Get yourself two pro nixmen 100 watt pods. 4inch I think.

It's right around a hundred bucks and I guarantee you it's brighter than a massive light bar. It is unreal how bright they are. I have nine lights on the front of my side by side, the rest become pointless if those are on

Just get a high lumen cheapo. It will be fine for a tractor. You will probably break a few anyway. I have some high dollar lights on my jeep. Cheap on my old truck.
The expensive ones are better, but I’m not sure they are worth what I paid. The cheap ones are almost as bright.

I've had a 20 dollar nilight on my boat since 2018. I think it was 25 bucks or so. The mounting bolts are rusted but the light still works fine.

I've had good luck with the $80-$150 range on super bright leds dot com. Never tried the Amazon cheap lights, although I am sure they are about the same.

I have some little 4" pods with green or yellow rings. I've put them on numerous jeeps, sxs's, 4-wheelers, and a few tractors. The benefit of them is you can aim them if needed....
