Stupid Washington talk. Closing border means allowing 1.8 illegals per year

The bill is trash and should be a non-starter for anyone not looking at the issue through a lens of idiocy, ignorance, their political future or some combination of all of the above.

The problem isn't that we need a whole new set of laws, it's that the laws already on the books aren't being enforced.

Yes, zero is the only acceptable goal. We should take emergency measures to secure every inch of the border, not allowing anyone to cross for any reason. Decide upon a reasonable number of people to accept each year then begin taking applications with strict measures to track the applicants.
All who were allowed illegal entry prior will be returned to the southern border and released into Mexico.
Mexico has allowed the flood of illegals, give em back and let Mexico deal with them. They gave no thought to them coming here, we shouldn't think twice about correcting this injustice and let em remain in Mexico until called for processing.
