Read Dune decades ago. Loved it with much zeal. Then came a couple of the less memorable sequels - gom jabbar-like, they squashed my zeal, and poisoned my interest in Paul, his sister, Chani, the Fremen and the Sisterhood witches. My interests all tanked into a sad mush of apathy.
