Kentucky Bourbon Trail

Wife and I are taking a last-minute trip to Louisville/bourbon Trail. We have a whole day set up on Friday. Because it’s such a short trip, we are doing carry-on luggage for our flights. What do we do if we buy bourbon at the distilleries? Do they ship Back to Louisiana? Or is there some type of third-party shipping? Need to advise because I definitely want to take some bourbon back home with us but do not want to check a bag flying back into Lafayette and waiting for luggage is miserable TIA.
