I have a woodland mills hm30x and a grandberg Alaskan mill. I mill my own boards mainly with the bandsaw mill but really wide boards I cut with the Alaskan mill. I have a setup that will cut up to 60 inch wide slabs. The widest I have cut is a cherry log that ends in a crotch that is 54 inches wide. The slab is 11 feet long. Cutting is one thing. Stacking and drying is another. As previously written I don’t have a debarker. I have seen that only on high mills and then only used to help extend blade life. Woodland mills with the extras is $10,000 and the Alaskan mill a couple hundred dollars but the chainsaw is separate and I bought a big one. Stihl 880 magnum
