He played for the buccaneers a couple years ago and they had him at 6’1 177lbs

When he came to lsu he was a stick but he could cover so he played immediately

Most have Turner at more like 5'11(long arms though) 160 soaking wet. Very similarly sized to Woodland. Doesn't mean they are good or bad just thin/small. I have questions regarding both but you never know what's inside a kid.

I think it’s just availability & they are throwing darts. I don’t mind it; but then again I’m not a star gazer. I know those guys hate it

On 3, Rivals, 247 and LSU list him as 6-1 or taller. I think Chef Johnson and the weight training program can add weight to this kid.

Now that Corey Raymond is back home, Michael Turner is 6’1” and fits the mold of the type of CB’ s CR covets and he might make pitch for him at corner.

He was recruited, signed, and his likely position was decided a long time before Raymond was hired.

Looks more like a track star than football. I have no doubt that he can easily gain 10 to 15 pounds in the weight room and still be as fast and much stronger.

In thought someone on this board said “the best cb in the state and it is not even close, signed with lsu to be a wr” I think the speculation is after who ever this guy is has given wr a shot, and if he doesn’t make an immediate impact he will think about playing CB.

Maybe this is the guy they were talking about bc I kinda think it is, he was a very underweight wr if I remember right

true, but that doesn't mean anything once he gets on campus. Prean is now playing DB.

He looks crazy little to try and go up against SEC receivers

Almost as little as Flott when he played a lot in 2019.

Rashard Robinson was slender but was also physical. I recall him beating the hell out of that tall A$M receiver, Evans, I believe. So Turner can play too and he'll add good weight soon enough.

well 3 of our incoming freshmen in 2024 are all under 170lbs. All are 20 lbs away from being able to play db in the sec.

No indeed not. We've had plenty of corners play well in the SEC at 175 pounds. Cordale Flott and Jay Ward were two. Ward was 176 when he played very well in 2020. Flott was 165 and got the attention of NFL scouts. In 2021 they were 180 and 170 respectively. After that year, at 170, Flott was picked in the third round.

Yep, and Jay Ward was listed at 6'1 165 as a freshman, but played bigger.

Absolute stud. Came to my SoFla 7on7 tryouts and blew me away. Started working with him from there and he is improving every single rep. He's a future pro and loves him some LSU. He has a 6-6 wingspan and Corey wasted no time. It's early, but it will be hard to beat LSU on this one.
