So kung fu movies are not realistic but action movies are?
Once you suspend reality for the absurd stunts and shootouts and fights, etc that have been pervasive in most every action movie over the last 20+ years that have almost always had men as the focus, you can't all of a sudden not do the same when a woman is the one on the winning side.
This is such a ridiculous conversation to even be having. It's obviously your choice as to whether you want to watch it in the first place, but to actively complain about women doing similarly unrealistic things is just crazy to me.

I can see your point in some of the newer stuff that is out there...but I still think the Kill Bill vol 1 scene with the Crazy 88s is one of the most badass action scenes out there.

I kinda feel the same way. I look at Zoe Saldana and think, no way she beats me. Definitely not Queen Latifah. But I feel the same way about Matt Damon or Tom Cruise. Jason Statham probably. Anyway, I can't watch those shows.

A 120 lb man could do damage to a 250 lb one, especially a trained one(my money would be on a 120lb special forces trained guy over a 250 lb no training guy). Maybe even if the 120 lb one knew karate or something.
BUT… that’s a rare case. In real life the best female swimmers can’t beat a terrible male one. Our best female soccer players (USA) get schooled by a 15u male team 5-2.
The strength and athleticism a male has over a female is undeniable. Can a highly trained female maybe beat a fat, lazy guy that has never trained? Probably. But in normal situations the male will win.

The issue, at least as I see it, isn't strong women but rather how they are portrayed as "strong" and why. These two points also have to be taken within the context of the movie genre they're in.
No one bitches about Ellen Ripley nor Sarah Connor being strong female characters. Why? Because their strength doesn't come from their arms and legs (within the context of the movie's world) somehow being far greater than that of comparable males (or even males who have trained as much or more than they have), but rather it comes from pushing themselves beyond their bounds through desperation and creativity. Their strength comes from their character and has nothing to do with whether or not they have a vagina.
What we see most often in movies and shows today are women portrayed as being "strong" by being physically and/or mentally dominant over men. They will also be shown as being "strong" by being assholes, but somehow everyone still wants to help them (a bit of "Mary Sue"). They don't beat their adversary (who is usually a male) through being more clever, or lucky, or desperate; instead they beat them by simply "powering up".
If this scenario sounds familiar, there's a reason for that.
These aren't stories of struggle against self (which everyone can sympathize with) but struggles against varying degrees of representatives of patriarchy (which is a far smaller group of sympathizers). The brunt of those who seem to enjoy these sorts of characters (as shown by rating and box office returns) are entertainment industry execs and article writers and their main enjoyment seems to come from nothing more than the theme of "strong because vagina".

Your problem is believing those who are stanning for strong wahmen, as you give in the above examples (echo, Captain Marvel, etc...) have any interest whatsoever in dealing in sincere or good faith discussions.
They don't.

Except I don't believe that as I don't believe many who push that narrative care to have what I would consider to be good faith discussions (ie: a search for the truth, not an attempt to merely reinforce what they believe and push it on others). Part of the woke mind virus is to believe a certain paradigm exists regardless of whatever countering evidence is brought to the table.
That's why they write and approve what they do: they believe they are saving the world from the inherent evil of male-ness by framing females as being intellectually and physically superior. To frame them any less would be (to them) to acknowledge that this inherent evil is correct (see also: tranny men competing in female sports).
