He cited:

Chuck Noll
Bill walsh
Tom Landry
Bill Belichick

4 of the greatest HCs to ever live. In conjunction with DA.

I’m not joking

Allen aint going anywhere:
quote:

@MikeTriplett
Saints GM Mickey Loomis came prepared for the Dennis Allen question to his postseason press conference. Said it's lazy if you don't look beyond the record -- and had stats of coaches like Belichick, Noll, Landry in their first few years on the job.

Loomis aint going anywhere:
quote:

@nick_underhill
Mickey Loomis on his job changing: "That was just made up. That's never been discussed or talked about."
Players will be the scapegoats:
quote:

@brookechesney
Loomis was asked about the team’s culture. He believes he needs to get the guys doing the necessary things in order to win. Loomis said that’s on him and he let that slip over the recent years.

The easy thing is to look at the results and say “oh no we gotta have a change”. You gotta look beyond that.

What a bunch of gaslighting!

His record was bad. Yes! But it’s also the other parts that are bad too.
1) There is no leadership on the team.
2) Dennis Allen is an absolute Pussy that no one respects.
3) The players don’t like him and told you so in exit interviews.
4) The players led a mutiny on the last play of the season.
5) There has been a failing to develop high picks like Turner and Penning.
6) The offense has been stagnant for two years and we are just doing something about it now.
7) The team has zero identity.
8) Only a few players on the team play and practice hard. So much so that they were called out by other players.
9) Dennis Allen can’t control players or their situations. (MT13, Jimmy Graham episode, CJGJ attitude) and his only answer is to trade players away for peanuts.
10) He was hired to keep continuity of our winning culture. That failed! Failed Horribly!
11) The fans hate him and the national media and pundits think he is a joke.

There’s no argument to retain him other than trying to sooth your ego by giving him another opportunity. Once Allen is fired next year, nobody will ever again hire him as a head coach.

It’s not just the record, Mickey. You’re being intellectually dishonest to the media and the fans!

Should have followed up with pointing out that Noll, Walsh, and Landry didn’t have the benefit of free agency.

Christ that statement is something you’d expect out of Bidens mouth.

Seasons 4 & 5 for the following coaches:

Chuck Noll 21-7 (.750) (3 playoff games by the end of year five)
Bill walsh 13-12 (.520) (won the Super Bowl in year 3)
Tom Landry 9-18 (.333) (This was the first five years of the Cowboys existence)
Bill Belichick 16-16 (.500) (2 playoff games. If comparing second stint at NE, he had already won a Super Bowl after his second year in NE.)
Dennis Allen 16-18 (.471) (No playoff appearances with the easiest schedule in the NFL, player mutiny, beat a total of 4 teams with a winning record)

Totally not disingenuous, Mickey!
