Here’s where you’re wrong… I fricking HATE the EPA! I want incandescent light bulbs. I want a 6 burner gas Viking stove. I want a dishwasher that doesn’t have to run for 3 hours to clean my dishes.

Different departments. DOE and U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), not the EPA.

Congress needs to gut these three letter agencies.

We just need to vote better.

But we won't because votes are being bought.

So until revolution, things are hopeless.

Once you accept this the important things in life become real clear.

Wut? Using a heat lamp for heating as opposed to a lamp designed for illumination that happens to make heat as a by product defies logic? The very image of tyranny:

I’m referring to all the EPA mandates that defy logic. Energy efficient junk that uses more energy bc it can’t do the job right the first time or consumes more energy bc it takes longer and is less efficient.

None of it is because they care about the environment. It’s all tyranny to control the masses and crush the working middle class.

While I get the sentiment of the thread, if you can't see the advantages of LED's over incandescent, then we can't help you.

LEDs are more efficient than incandescent, and can generally save you money. So for most use cases it makes sense to buy LEDs.

Having said that, it is NOT governments place to force the issue by banning incandescent bulbs. That is un-American.

Government can help the fledgling LED lightbulb industry get off the ground, but then let the American people weigh the pros & cons for themselves and make their own decision about what to buy and use. If you want to buy LEDs then that is great. If I want incandescent, why is that any business of yours!

It is as bad as the insane and un-American CAFE standards.

Federal Courts tell the EPA to go to hell

Ruling was against the US Department of Energy.

EPA is part of the US Department of the Interior.

Post on the Poli board if you're too ill-informed to know the difference.

That's what China was trying to do with the Covid Virus, reduce their elderly population. The U.S. wants to reduce its population and replace it with illegals, to save money. Sooner or later we're gonna have to step up to the plate and stop this shite. Our government is out of control. They're fricking us and giving benefits to illegals.

They’ll still do it.

They could if they actually lasted as long as they are claimed to. They don't, at least not in countries other than Dubai where they have their own standards. So the perceived ROI of LED's simply doesn't exist here. I stocked up on incandescent bulbs years ago, can still get incandescent appliance bulbs since LED oven bulbs are not a thing, so most of my table lamps still use them.

The only people that don't like the EPA are large corporations

The EPA is similar to labor unions. It was created with good intentions but has plain outlived its usefulness.
