Kellers is amazing

For something different, try LA Cheesecake bakery. Get the Chantilly King Cake Cheese Cake. I’m getting one tomorrow for the wife’s bday. It’s amazing

Poupart’s has traditional king cakes, much less sweet, I like them.

This would be my answer for unique king cake as well. I also prefer it over the typical king cakes.

Kellers is best in town. Blueberry cream cheese. Not sure how unique it is though. Lafayette and Youngsville location both excellent

I believe you have to go to College Station, TX to get those.

Chantilly cakes are awesome, but that doesn't mean a King Cake is arse. I know you didn't say it, but just sayin.

I agree 100%. I absolutely will chow down on a King cake but if it weren't for the sentimental attachment this time of year there are a laundry list of desserts I would rather someone serve.

course, one can argue that those are giant donuts and not king cakes.

I mean, they are a donut shop

Rouses has stepped up their baking game from traditional KC’s to unique flavors. Co-worker brought a Root Beer and a Wedding Cake flavored KC to the office yesterday. The Wedding cake was very good. Filled with almond flavored light whipped cream, icing topping with sliced almonds. Solid if you like wedding cake flavor… the root beer was just OK.

Keller’s has a traditional one. Pouparts has a French version. Most unique would be Poupart’s. Both are very good. Scratch the Meche’s from your list.

Keller’s was my go to when I lived in Lafayette. Can’t go wrong.
