Saban would have won even more championships at LSU had he never left.

LOL...

Nope. Saban dealt with the same rigging at LSU. Remember the 2000 game at home against Bama? LOL
Auburn 2004? LOLOL

The SEC would never rig those games all those years for LSU, especially with a Bama alum overseeing everything. You folks are legit in denial and insane.

Not only that, but LSU would NEVER have gotten a mulligan in 2011, much less have the media change the narrative FOUR times to allow LSUSaban into more championship opportunities.

You people are completely delusional. The SEC isn't helping LSU this way regardless of if Jesus himself were the coach.

Remove the mulligan in 2011

Ba*ma* was granted a second mulligan in 2017. Did they win the conference? Nope. Did they win their division? Nope.

But they were given their traditional crimson asterisk.

As a start, 2012.

We played 4 top-10 teams in a row. We went .500. Ba*ma* also went .500 against their consecutive top-!0 games. But they only played two.

Do you not see a scheduling advantaged weighted in their favor?

Only if the schedule makers were clairvoyant. A&M was not even ranked to start the season and Florida was ranked 23rd

LSU had 4 teams scheduled who were ranked at all, 3 were top 10. 2 were SEC west opponents (Arkansas #10 and Alabama #2), 1 was the permanent East opponent (Florida #23), and 1 was the rotational East opponent South Caroline #9).

Bama had 3 ranked teams scheduled, all top 10. Two were SEC West teams (LSU #3 and Arkansas #10). Additionally, they scheduled Michigan #8 to open the season.

The 2000 home game was possibly the worst one. I think there's maybe a big faction of posters here too young to know what the late 90s-2017 looked like relative to blatant, BLATANT missed calls. Calls get missed often, in all games, but if you've been around you've seen DECADES of missed calls all go in favor of one team. Similar probability as Biden getting 81 million.

The NCAA knew of Saban’s antics giving away Dodge Chargers and cash money to recruits and didn’t bat an eye about it..Saban didn’t care for the NIL bitching towards Jimbo Fisher and Kirby Smart now being on even ground to offer game prizes also.. that meant that now Saban had to work for recruits instead of just laying down the red carpet.. this wore his arse out also..

He’d still have 4 at Bama.

Those are all legit.

All legit with the exception of 2020.

Covid Championship

*will forever have an asterisk by it.

If you are talking about while Saban was at LSU, then I would agree.

It will continue without Saban. The media is completely bought into it and with the 12 team playoff, there will be less scrutiny on game fixing during the regular season. The SEC is so corrupt that my guess is they will just take the cheating up a notch.

FFS we watched a Heisman winner get blatantly targeted and the SEC literally laughed it off. That is corruption beyond needed a Jumbotron to show a replay a dozen times so the refs would reluctantly do the right thing.

The more interesting question is how many NC's would he have had if he'd never left BR?

Then I stand corrected but the whole “Bama gets help” thing is bullshite. They were dominant, sadly, under most of Saban”s tenure.

LOL yep, the mulligans and invites to the playoffs or championship game despite not having better overall records than teams ahead of them is not help. Thank you for pointing that out.

A Bama alum overseeing officiating for the SEC, and now the NCAA...nope, no help there either.

Please email me whatever you are smoking. I'd love to partake with you sir!

They were dominant

I won't disagree that they were dominant, but they weren't this unbeatable, invincible force the media makes them out to be. They only went unbeaten once, and that was 15 years ago. They got in the championship playoffs/finals four times due to narrative changes just for them. Without those, they have three titles, including the Covid BS.

Hard to say..he'd still have Marc emmert running cover for him but without the t-town/bham mafia handling the bu$iness side of recruiting he wouldn't be nearly as dominant. And yes I know everyone does it but not to their egregious and open level sans consequences-a privilege they've enjoyed for his entire tenure. I have family in bham and the recruiting goes far beyond bags of cash and new cars. No show jobs and homes for parents and relatives, off campus homes for players, trips, scholarships for siblings, etc etc. Nothing is too expensive for a prime recruit. It's just insane how open it's always been.
