Bring back the Shula years. Raid them in the portal.

"There will be weeping there, and gnashing of teeth, when you see Nick Lou Saban and all the prophets in the kingdom of Gump gone. Gone, gone from Tuscaloosa."

They might end up with Bill O'Brien as the hand picked Asst. , or a get them in the feels Dabo pick, or a money bomb to the Visor. FSU dude would be good, but he's likely not leaving. Someone has to be next. This much Gump hysteria and uncertainty is absolute schadenfreude.

Saban's got all the money he ever dreamed of. He knows he can't ride this horse forever. An orderly succession is an important part of any legacy and he owes that to the University. He's practical and smart.

'nough said. Gone fishin'.

Anyone know off hand what LSU’s record was against him?

What? I guess you think he is not greedy being one of the highest paid coaches ever, not too mention all the money he makes from other endeavors.

What’s worse is the people on the gump board calling his wife miss terry. Her name is terry. Most of these dudes are probably the same age as her.

Wow. I never thought he'd actually retire. I know he'll more than likely be on ESPN or some tv network. He just strikes me as someone who won't just stay at home and read books.

I respect the guy and appreciate what he did in his time at LSU but I don't like him. Leaving LSU on Christmas Day still doesn't sit well with me.

He's one of the best to ever coach though.

Enjoy retirement. I'm sure he will.

Like everyone else, I'm wondering who follows him. Talk about having some big shoes to fill.

So many memories - many frustrating. To think at one point Les Miles was 3-4 vs. Saban, we had the lead in the 4th and just needed a first down then that pass bounced off Trey Quinn’s chest and Bama won the next 8 in a row, I think.

In interviews Saban was always complimentary of his experience at LSU. The greatest compliment, if you will, is that they scheduled their bye week before playing us every year because he knew it was their hardest game of the year. Going to miss going up against him.

I wonder if there is any other school with a better record against him.

Do they not have to suffer through a press conference? He’s just going off to the sunset quietly?
