eddie jordan thinks newey is more likely to retire than join another f1 team. AM supposedly is out, don't see him going to merc, and as i've said before, i don't see him moving to italy.

I'm 100% there as well. I also could easily see him being paid as a part-time consultant by RBR in 2026 depending on how his protege steps up when he leaves.

Any update on if she's still suspended? There was no further updates around the Helmut/Jos involvment in the investigation and her suspension.

Feel like I heard someone on a podcast say she was appealing the decision

I saw somewhere that Newey is taking delivery of a big arse sailboat next year.

Apparently his other love is sailing so he may well just say adios. I'd imagine he's got quite the stack of cash so it's not like he needs to keep working.

Now this sounds spicy.

As much as I love to see Andretti throw two teams on the grid, I really don't care to see fricking Congress sticking their nose into this. This is ridiculous.

Those frickers are useless for anything other than lining their own fricking pockets.

Rant over.

None of us ever like seeing it, but it's what they do. Useless bastards.

Word seems to be Carlos has declined the Audi offer

LINK

Also, rumors that this may be Logan's last race with Antonelli taking the seat in Imola

Where does he sit next year? AM, Rb, Merc?

ETA my hopes: Ham to Ferrari, Max to Merc, Sainz to RB

That's surprising to say the least, wonder if Carlos is trying to get the RB seat for next year.

Yeah this has been my theory as to why things are moving slowly. Red Bull is truly not in a hurry to make a decision on Perez because they know Sainz does not have a lot of leverage. Right now the Red Bull seat looks much more desirable to Sainz than Merc or Sauber/Audi. If Newey goes to Ferrari, I would be shocked if Max goes to Merc. In this third year of the new rules they are going backwards; I have a hard time seeing Max taking that chance. Merc seems willing to wait things out right now (maybe they believe they still have a chance with Max) but Sainz is taking a bit of a risk of course if Max stays in place, Merc signs someone else unexpectedly, and Red Bull decides Perez is doing good enough to re-sign. This might be the most interesting silly season I've ever seen.

He should be... He will be the #1 at RB when Max leaves end of this year or next.

I don't see Max leaving before the new regs in 2026. He'll dominate 2025 with Red Bull again.

For that matter Perez is doing well enough this year he'll keep his seat too unless his performance changes.

2026 is when seats'll be up for grabs at Red Bull.

That’s why I see the Sainz angle… goes and gets used to the RB system in 25’ and then steps into 1 seat when max goes to either Merc or AM for 26’
