Jos is a known piece of shite. He doesn't belong anywhere near the paddock.

If the Red Bull drama causes Max not to win every race by 30sec , I hope it blows up and makes it more competitive from 1-5 and not the 2-5 we have now.

Plus drama is always fun I am not a big Ferrari fan but watching them battle was fun and will get more interesting as we go through the season

Not sure why people cant enjoy the battles we have now while also enjoying how amazing Max is as a driver.

I enjoy the battles now and appreciate how amazing Max is. But it would be more fun if Max was challenged. I love when a dynasty is happening, but I also love when the dynasty gets challenged and everyone wants to see if David can finally defeat Goliath.

Watching people battle for 2-8 is a lot of fun, but if someone is challenging Max that would be amazing

We all got reminded in 2021 that it’s so much more fun when there’s good racing at the front. This seasons we just get to watch max lap the field and enjoy back field racing and drama about horny spice and Jos being eskimo bros.

?? | Jos Verstappen is understood to have told friends his son will move from Red Bull if Christian Horner stays at Red Bull. Horner has repeatedly stated that he is determined to remain team principal. #F1

Think the play for Sainz is Audi. They know how to build a race car and they’re innovative going by their dominance at Le Mans.

At the end of the day, Saenz isn't the real prize. This is what the teams are really gunning for.

Then how do you interpret him saying "The team is in danger of being torn apart. It can't go on the way it is. It will explode. He is playing the victim, when he is the one causing the problems."

The last paragraph literally is this

quote:

There have been wild rumours that Verstappen Sr. has been involved in the behind-the-scenes powerplay that is trying to get Horner out of his Red Bull role. But this is something he has denied. “That wouldn't make sense,” he said. “Why would I do that when Max is doing so well here?”

Yup, no way Daddy wants his son to leave a winning team when he’s got a chance to break some big records in a few years. I mean, where would he go and why? To a team less gooder than RB? That would be idiotic

They had an independent investigative team look at everything and they said nothing was wrong. Thats not going to change no matter what all these “insiders” say.

Plausible deniability

His best move would be to not say anything versus being the only one in Red Bull World to being speaking to the press, further throwing gas on the fire.

He's talking to the press for a reason.

Saved the race for Sunday viewing. Im not his biggest fan but Stroll deserved driver of the day. He was spun on lap 1 and went to 20th (and 30+ seconds behind 18th). He then came through the back half of field, pitted twice, and finished in the points at 10th, one place and 20 seconds behind Alonso in 9th. Slow golf clap for Stroll and Aston Martin.

I mean Max didn’t give a very confidence inspiring comment in the whole situation. He basically implied that they worked together focusing on performance, which I took to mean there was a personal relationship strain but they got passed it focusing only on the car performance.

Does anyone know why Sargeant essentially parked his car off track for a minute?

Apparently an issue with the new steering wheel where it threw off his brake balance. He had to pit to change the wheel, and I believe Albon was having issues as well. Sucks because I think he was having a decent race before that happened

Max stole Kyvat's girl and his kid.

I doubt he really gives a shite Horner plowed his PA. Any comments or actions showing otherwise are for other reasons.

Indeed, it is understood that a number of top personnel – including chief technology officer Adrian Newey – have clauses in their contracts that allow them to leave if Horner is gone.
It would not be a surprise that such a clause exists in Verstappen's deal too, which locks him down to the team until 2028.

Something to chew on.

Interesting stuff from Christian Nimmervoll (who I stress again is pretty close to Marko)

- apparently Marko has not been amused about certain things Horner achieved (e.g. gaining Bernie's influence, being able to connect his contract with Newey)
- however, things used to be different. A few years ago there were internal rumours that Horner behaved unethitically (to avoid something to get lost in translation: he says "not behaved cleanly") when they made a sponsor deal with Geox, Mateschitz wanted to fire him, but Marko saved his job
- Mateschitz was already on the death bed in the summer of 2022. He, Marko and Porsche were trying to make a deal happen at the time, however it was Horner who ended up preventing the deal long before Marko/Mateschitz realized themselves that Porsche doesnt fit to RB, with this Horner gained the trust of the Thai owners. Horner was also very quick to realize how things were going to change at RB after Mateschitz dies (his son wasnt going to inherit the right to make all decisions etc.)
- since Chaleo Yoovidhya's death in 2012 it seems that the values for the Thai part of Red Bull has changed, which is probably why they dont see any issue with Horner's behavior
- The Austrian side however did realize that in the post-metoo age this story is very problematic and wanted to ensure full transparency. Many at Red Bull believe that the "independend investigation" wasnt as independend as claimed.
- Apparently Horner tried to gain control over both Red Bull and (now) Racing Bulls in 2023 and that he saw no use for Marko in this new scenario. People he wanted to hire for this coup have confirmed this.
- However Red Bull Austria backed Marko and extended his contract, Horner had to step back from his intenions
- one thing Horner never considered is that he didnt just made friends but also enemies. Jos never got over it that Horner didnt wanted to promote Max back in 2016, it was Marko that pushed it through. And this is why the Verstappens are completely loyal to Marko. So much that Max would probably leave if they ditch Marko.
- It also seems like Newey is no longer on his side. It's mentioned that he testified during the investigation of Horner's case.
- basically he is in the middle of the power struggle between both sides, and his mistake was convenient
- When the allegations became public Horner was kicked out of the house by Geri. She was flewn in purely to put an act on (for the purpose of PR, I assume)

This shite is nuts. 100% a power struggle.

Horner and Marko have been butting heads since Marko got in trouble a few years ago and Red Bull minimized Marko's exposure, now it seems. Marko trying to so same to Horner, and something just feels off about Jos's so called statement, only one outlet has reported on it and not much is being made of it kinda like that paper in Netherlands said Horner was gone before testing
