It's sad but true

There are people upset that we won a basketball game because it doesn't fit their narrative.

It's not that people are upset that we won. Its more of ok let's see if we can get some consistency and become competitive in the SEC before getting hopes up.
If this was a just a flash in the pan win on a night where A&M shot horrendously and they turn around and get their arse kicked by Vandy then there's not a whole lot to be excited about. But if they handle Vandy and start to be a more competitive team then people will start to be on board.

All of this. It will take alot more than tonight's win to get most fans fully vested in this team again. This is the Rant and the same posters singing praises today will be broken and sky screaming after the next big loss.

I mean it can still technically fit. Didn’t we open SEC play last year with a win over ranked Arkansas before everything detailed?

Jesus why can't we just enjoy that they won a game and start looking forward to the next one. It ain't gonna happen overnight.

I’m very happy every time LSU beats anyone. this is especially true if it is Arkansas, Alabama, UF and TAMU.
This is an older team with talent. The expectation for me has been 15 games. That will get McMahon another season maybe 2 depending on 24.

Nahhh, this is deeper than that.
The people who are REALLY upset about this are Will Wade fans who want LSU basketball to fail to make Woodward look bad for firing their boy. They also want McMahon to suck so that we can move on quicker to rehiring Wade.
Your more typical LSU fan on here only wants McMahon to suck so that we can move on quicker to a better coach.
