I am not mad at him for leaving. If he’s getting a ton of money elsewhere then good luck. Many people leave their jobs for a raise.
That said, I’m also not that concerned about his departure. If Frazier and Dellinger come back then there really isn’t a starting spot next year. Chester has center locked down.

I mean pouting at home because you want more playing time/money while your teammates are playing a game is definitely a character issue.
Your stance seems to be that no one said he had a character issue until he started displaying character issues.

I will put money on this kid not living up to his 5 star status coming out of HS.
Does it suck losing him, well sure it does, but we don't ruin culture over a kid staying back for the bowl game to think it over

You never want to lose good players, but there's no way in hell he was going to be allowed back even if he wanted to. Not traveling to the bowl without being in the portal is a very bad look for Heard. Hell, there were several guys dressed out who were already in the portal. I've yet to see any players who are solely seeking out NIL become stars. Most end up underwhelming because they don't want to work. Lance, if we happen to play you down the line, I hope we whip your arse for four quarters.

Ole Miss boosters seem to just be going all in on this season with the amount of mercs they're buying... I assume this isn't something that will be sustainable longterm and are just spending big to get over the hump while they still have Dart and a lot of their playmakers before they go pro.

I can't speak for everyone but if he took his name out of the portal right now and came back, I'd still say skipping the bowl game was an indication of a character issue.
