The collective should put together a big event annually where the athletes host the fans in tiger stadium for a concert. Big name headline concert. A large portion of the profit goes to the collective. The athletes could come on stage and be acknowledged, they would work the concert and shake hands with fans etc.

Arkansas has been doing this in smaller venues and making money for their collective.

I agree.

We have been thinking too small.

The Collective should put on golf tournaments outside of the State like Houston area.

Sell autograph merchandise at a reasonable price so it won't just sit there.

Lots of way to drum up a lot of cash quickly.

Proceeds to the collective.

Been listening to other disadvantaged SEC teams sports information ads? We can do better than that.

I frankly think it is possible to break that cycle with player development. Face it, when you pay a player millions or even less, they are assumed to be somewhat plug and play. But most are not.

I wonder how much longer people are going to be willing to part with their hard earned money to pay players that are less loyal to “LSU” than ever before. Buying tickets is one thing and that is less appealing than ever due to the conveniences of watching from home vs the increasing pain of being there in person. I can’t imagine shelling out a bunch of my money to buy players but then again I have kids to pay for and maybe some folks just have way more money to burn than I do.

CF is a mess; With NIL players opt out, others go NFl, others refuse to play in a post season bowl. College football, already on a downhil, should become a scholarship league for players and only offer a free ride with books, housing, meals, tuition fully paid. Colleges must require passing grades thoughtout the process. This way players will graduate with a degree and be a productive employed member of society. Lesser quality on field performance but better quality human beings. And coaches will receive lesser salaries but be responsible for their programs being run correctly

Planning things that are inherently fun to do (concert, golf scramble, etc) that would fund the collective is a pretty solid idea.
