That D was in the qb’s face
Every play

The run stopping was so disciplined and they attacked their area

A thing of beauty
If we could get Blake back
Yessssss pleaseeee

Ohio State had a true freshman unexpectedly thrown into the game early on and he simply couldn’t handle pressure, so Mizzou kept doing it.

Hard to draw absolutes from a game like that. I love how both teams looked on D, but Ohio State was really handicapped last night.

A more seasoned QB would have taken advantage of Mizzou sending the house so often.

Credit to Missouri, but it was as if they (Ohio St) didn't even have the backup prepared.

They had enough time to know he would be the backup.

We have House and the worst defensive staff in the country. We’re so far from a competent defense

Do you honestly think LSU could have held Ohio State to just 3 points in that same situation?

Matt House isn't going anywhere unfortunately.. Per Matt M LSU doesn't have the money due to dishing alot of cash out in buyouts, Kelly's contract, Mulkey's contract, Johnson contract, and Matt contract. LSU is hoping he can go back to the NFL that way they wouldn't have to pay his buyout and dish out even more cash plus the new coaches contract.

Ohio st was down like 4 starters including their qb and one of the best 2 or 3 receivers in the country, not exactly a good barometer

I’m not saying they were a passing team. I’m saying that the defense Mizzou played last night was successful because the OSU QB was overwhelmed and unready to handle pressure.

And the lack of depth as well as talent in the DB and DL areas is below average too.

Are you insinuating that we would have looked that good against a backup QB?

Such a BS excuse. Ohio State is routinely one of the top recruiting schools in the country.

Mizzou is lucky to be top 20 once in a while. OSU should have still put more talent on the field.

LSU would prefer House to leave of his own accord. I’m sure he must feel he’s not wanted here anymore and that can’t be a comfortable situation for him and his family. I’d bet he lands back in the NFL. Why would he wanna stay here besides the money?

That defense works well against a rookie qb and not at all against a qb like JD. How short are our memories

Not taking anything away from Mizzou but this was not the same Ohio State team as the regular season.

And both Georgia and Florida State will have key players missing. Even these supposedly big “NY6” games mean essentially nothing now.

We are fully in the age where if it ain’t the playoffs, bowl games don’t mean shite.

And while I’d like to see Jayden one more time, this works out well for us and CBK is approaching this game for exactly what it is—a preseason scrimmage for 2024.
