Oh, even if you’re as fit as a fiddle you’re paying for healthcare for others via insurance, taxes, and other more indirect costs.

I worked from home for 13 months and lost about 30lbs, instead of driving home from work for 45 minutes I would go walk the neighborhood.

Blame WFH as a response to COVID for the increased obesity & diabetes rates, then show a chart that shows that we have progressing this way since 2016. I'm sure the WFH lifestyle didn't help for the fraction of the population that was already on pace to be considered obese; but this is not a causation to correlation situation.

Been WFH for most of the last 3 years.,

Today’s BP: 110/74

I hit the gym mid-day and currently sitting around 5-10 and 200.

It’s not hard to stay active and healthy when you work from home; in fact, it’s significantly easier.

Working from home is any worse than sitting in an office sedentary all day?

Working from home gives me flexibility so that I'm able to exercise during times that, when I would be in the office staring at the wall bored otherwise.

Here's the deal y'all: Those who want to exercise will find the time to exercise. Those who don't will make excuses.

I remember, for instance, when COVID was starting, I didn't go on my runs because I was "worried about catching COVID." I later realized that all that was was a lame excuse.

So now working from home is causing diabetes

First it was working from home is not productive then that was blown up...then it killed collaboration which was also blown up...now it's going to actually kill people.

I'm not sure what CEO's WFH narrative will be next. I mean hell this is dumb...if you want people back in the office just mandate it and live with the consequences like a lot of other companies are.

Uh, I mean... Built like an offensive lineman.

You probably look fat at 180, though.

However, I don’t at 200 because I continue to strength train. Someone asked me yesterday if I had dropped weight. Nope, still around 200.

Not sure how working from home contributes to this? My home office is a room away from my home gym. I can do a lot of virtual calls while working out.
Also working remotely lets me do a ton of activities while sitting through yearly mandatory training. Fishing. Gardening. Walking. If lost a ton of weight.

Compare to sitting on my butt an hour commuting. Then stuck in an office with no exercise equipment all day.

Plus more convenient to eat healthier at home. Have a blender for smoothie. Air fryer. Grill.

I work from home full time and am in much better shape than when I started in March 2020. I was commuting 2 hours a day and going to lunches with coworkers, etc. now I can control what I eat at home, and have that 2 hours to go walking or work out.

If you’re disciplined and aren’t a lazy frick, it actually makes it easier to stay in shape.
