Yup that is the big problem. As soon as Brees retired and Sean left- this should have been the route- especially without a qb.

I’m OK with them not doing this. The saints really did have one of the best overall rosters when Brees stepped down.
But it’s time.
Much like the Fed, Loomis tried to engineer a soft landing for the team post Brees/Payton. Unlike the Fed, it appears Loomis failed and we are about to really crash and burn.
The 2022 first round was an absolute disaster for the saints.
