If this team can find ways to repeatedly sign free agents. They can find ways to tear it down and rebuild. I just don’t believe they want to genuinely do that which is the major problem.

Problem is a rebuild builds in the fact that you will have a few really bad years. League is driven by results. DA knows if he agrees to a rebuild, he's on thin ice and is halfway out the door. A new HC most likely will not want any part of a multi-year rebuild because their arse is now on the line and they know if it "takes longer than it should" they may not get a 2nd shot.
