I’ve got young kids. I’m like a pig in shite. I’ve always enjoyed the holidays but now that my daughter will be experiencing her first Christmas that she will remember, I’m pretty amped.

Though I did have a vasectomy yesterday so there’s that.

Should be the most laid-back Christmas we've ever had. We don't have any large family gatherings this year, no traveling.

Our kids are older so nothing to put together or playing Santa.

Work for me sucks during Christmas. This year it sucks even more than it usually does. I am just ready to be done with it.

I hate Christmas. Not for what it stands for but what it has turned into

My only anxiety comes from buying those gifts. Man stuff is expensive… but if it puts a smile on your loved ones faces then it’s money well spent. Would’ve really helped if my lady didn’t have her birthday and our anniversary in December as well. Lol

Finished my Christmas shopping by the first week of December. No reason to ask others what they want since if I’m buying them a gift I know them well enough to know what to get them. My parents and siblings love my gifts. It always their favorite and they had no idea the thing existed.

Christmas is my least favorite holiday because of all the family stress and work stress. I try very hard to focus on the true reason for the season, and that helps. But it’s just such a chaotic time of year. December 26th can’t get here fast enough.

Anybody else have Christmas anxiety?

I would say "anxiety" exactly, but I do get a little antsier around those specific days just due to all the rushing. I'm pretty laid back and when I'm off work I just want to chill most of the time. Laying on the couch watching TV is perfectly fine wiht me and I could do that all day. But on Thanksgiving/Christmas time we are breakneck full throttle 100% of the time.

On Christmas eve we'll be at one house mid-morning then eat lunch there, go to a different house to spend the afternoon and eat dinner, then back home. Christmas day we'll open presents then get ready for a dozen peolpe to come to our house for lunch. The 26th we have to go to another house to spend almost all day.

It's just exhausting and then before you know it the holdiay is over and you're back to work. I swear one year I'm going to get the gumption to ask for a day of peace and quiet by myself for Christmas.

Nope. I make it a point not to over extend myself at Christmas. It’s too easy to let happen. Once we had a kid, Christmas was about him 100%. Everyone else could work with what I could do or they couldn’t. No hard feelings.

Agree. I try to focus on the meaning of Christmas. Everything else is overrated and doesn't warrant the attention and anxiety.
