3125 usually has a lot of traffic since people usually make a couple rounds from 3125 to River Road and go back again. I always go on Airline to 3125, turn right and go to Lutcher area. If you find a place near the Lutcher/Gramercy line you are in a good spot. It does change each year where the best spots are though. I go to the same area and walk on the levee. Biggest thing you need to know.... DO NOT ARRIVE LATE. Get there BEFORE they light the bonfires. You'll enjoy the loud sounds.

Get to town around 6:00. Decide if you want to park and sit or park and walk.
If you want to park and sit, bring lawn chairs and an ice chest with your beverage of choice. If you're bringing kids bring some food/snacks. If you get there early enough and can find a spot to park on river road, do it. Pop open your chairs and wait for the show.
If you want to walk, bring an ice chest you can carry and take a stroll, meet some new people.
When it gets close to 7, pick the closest bonfire and walk on up.
There are usually some firework stands spread throughout. Usually some food set ups, but if you start talking to some locals they'll offer you some of the best food around.

Awesome photos. I’ve built so many bonfires back in the day on the levee in Lutcher. They’ve gone from tepee style to many unique designs over the years. And, we used to stuff them with wood, tires, cardboard and whatever else we had to pack it. Those were the days.

The first I saw was two days before the burn and it was great seeing the structures being built. We just drove River Road slowly.
Several years later we had seats on one of the riverboats that went up from NOLA to see the path. Is anyone doing that nowadays?

Nice event, but unless you’re at a private party on River Rd with bathrooms, avoid eating or drinking for 24 hours prior to avoid the clustfrick that is portable restrooms.

It's great if you know someone there and get to park and hangout with them. It's absolutely awful if you just want to drive down river road and see them.

That looks awesome. The levee board would have a conniption fit if you did this in Southeast Arkansas. I hunt on the levee and they really don’t want you driving on it.

Go early 2 pm or so. You can go ride to the garfish they built in garyville and ride the river road to see the others. You can park in the regions bank lot in lutcher and walk to the levee (1/2 mile) bring cooler with wheels. Do not just show up for 7 and expect to get anywhere close.

Get there early. Park at regions bank. From Regions you can see the levee just walk straight to the levee. Do not turn down any side streets. Once at the levee get to the top and walk go either left or right but for gods sake stay out of the flipping road. If you want a drink walk down to bulldogs corner. Wear shoes that have a grip on them because the levee will be slippery. About 7pm the fires will be lit BEFORE they are lit get off the damn levee and onto river road to watch. 3193 aka Lutcher Avenue and Main Street is where Regions bank is located.

Oh you can also park at the catlick church in gramercy or the gramercy town hall. If you do that then find your way to gramercy polive department and from there walk straight to the levee. I dont know but i think you might be able to buy food and drink on the gramercy side of the levee. I live close to the church so ive never had to buy food and only bought drinks from Bulldogs. Its going to be a pain for you if you bring your own ice chest while going up and down the levee with it so bring one thats sturdy, so uou can sit on it, and you dont mind leaving, after a while it judt gets burdensome to drag everywhere
