It’d be weird to leave a team that’s in the playoff and all the recruits you’ve brought in there, but the intrigue of going back to your alma mater is always an X factor.

Not to sound completely delusional but one can’t help but think the ceiling at LSU is higher than Texas

Although not his alma mater, Cortez Hankton (from New Orleans) won a national championship at Georgia and proceeded to move to LSU the next year in a lateral move not a promotion. It has been done before.
