I wasn’t being an a-hole. Your pastor would probably have more information on that type of product. Sorry I hurt your feelings.

Thompson told the girls that Flix Club was a front for pornographic film production and distribution.
Except he was editing out the porn portions. It was mostly guys delivering pizzas and teachers having discussions with weirdly old students.

Hard to imagine any movie that has to have them things removed still be suitable for an 8 yo but I could be wrong.

It seems like I’m always watching movies noticing it’d be great for the kids but for one or two gratuitous sex scenes or nudity. I’d have to think on it, but it’s pretty frequent.

I started Field of Dreams the other day thinking it would be a good one to watch with the kids. But there was a decent bit of cursing.

I was simply asking the experts here about how to let an 8yo watch some really cool movies with most of the R Rating dubbed out.

Honestly, we just waited for our boys to be 14 or 15 and showed them the real movies. There are plenty of age appropriate movies for that age to show them before you have to chop up a R rated movie so it it fits.

You do you obviously, but I always preferred to have them watch the real movie when we thought they were ready.

Tubi has a bunch of what looks like cable porn on there and if you look at the run times, they're all under an hour!

Not much left I guess...

Like the TBS version of movies, suitable for kids without the sex scenes and F-bombs?

When i had kids, I wished for the same feature. a-hole directors don't want their "art" modified by an app yet they are cool with TV censoring their work. It's more of a DCMA issue than anything IMO.

Other than watching on something like TBS, I guess there could be edited versions on some streaming services, but I honestly don’t know.

frick man - don't coddle them, let them watch it. shite i was 7 and was allowed to watch Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Police academy and then watched Die Hard as a kid also - I turned out fine.

R rated movies and tits are not gonna frick your kids up - not teaching them right from wrong, and not teaching accountability will.
